Chumoukedima, Nagaland, April 9 (HBTV): The saga of hide-and-seek surrounding the disappearance of a 29- year-old female employee of Axis Bank in Nagaland has concluded with authorities bringing the woman back to Mon district.

Lina Chophy, an employee of the Mon branch of Axis Bank, went missing from Mon on March 30. Initial reports said she left behind her phone and personal effects, which fuelled speculations about her fate.

However, amid heavy media glare and public concern about her whereabouts, Chophi was sighted in various places in Assam before she was found to be Gangktok in Sikkim. At press time, she was being brought back to Mon by the Nagaland police and her relatives.

Lina Chophi was handed over to the Nagaland police by Sikkim police's women cell in Gangtok on Tuesday, April 9.

Initial reports said Lina Chophi had told the police that she had gone to Sikkim looking for a job. Although her reason for leaving home without any belongings, including her phone, remains a source of questions, police said to reveal the reason after reaching Nagaland.

Chophi's sister, unidentified at press time, told HornbillTV that Lina was unwell and would be seeking spiritual help.
